This wheelchair carousel is an innovative device, with a completely different method of driving than other carousels on the market. The carousel only spins in one direction. While playing, the user exercises the upper limbs. He/she has full control over the speed and pace of the device in motion and could decide to stop it at any moment – the device is equipped with brakes.
If a person with accessibility needs is unable to operate the device, a parent or caregiver can participate in the game to perform this activity. The same applies to braking—only one person needs to use the brake. The device features two chairs that fold into wheelchair supports.
The device is recommended for able-bodied users, for people with disabilities resulting in moving in a wheelchair, on crutches, with a walker. For people with intellectual disabilities, with neurological disorders, for people with visual disabilities, as well as seniors.
The device can be used simultaneously by:
- 1 able-bodied person + 1 person in a wheelchair
- 2 able-bodied people
- 2 people in wheelchairs
