There’s something really satisfying about seeing an older playground transformed into a space that feels so alive. It’s inviting, robust and full of movement – and exactly what a local area needs.”
A connected neighbourhood playspace
Porsche Park Playground is a revitalised community playspace delivered in partnership with The City of Whittlesea Council and the local community.
Informed by consultation and shaped by shared priorities, we replaced an ageing playground with a modern, interconnected play environment designed to support movement and everyday social interaction.
Located within a suburban neighbourhood area, the new playground is a popular and welcoming gathering spot for local families.
Designed for movement, connection and play
At the centre of the playground, a custom multi-activity structure links elevated platforms with bridges and climbing elements – encouraging children to keep moving, exploring and challenging themselves.
Bright red components contrast with natural timber finishes, creating a vibrant focal point that stands out within the natural setting. The colour pops draw children in, while the warm timber grounds the space in its outdoor environment.
A central ramped entry transports users straight into the action, making the play experience feel open and connected from the moment you arrive.
With a two-bay timber swing, wobbly wood junior rocker and a family carousel, the space offers spinning, swinging and shared play moments. The result is a lively, engaging playground that inspires healthy activity and neighbourhood friendships to flourish.
Design and build playgrounds to create neighbourhood hubs
Playground Centre partners with councils across Victoria and Australia to design and build custom playgrounds for local reserves and residential developments. Our exciting, memorable play spaces are built for long-term community use and help transform parks into active neighbourhood hubs.
