Here at Playground Centre, we were proud to recently be part of an amazing program called Love to Ride – which is peddling a love of cycling across the globe.
A simple but powerful social marketing initiative, Love to Ride operates across 10 countries with more than 200,000 people taking part to date.
Communities and workplaces ‘localise’ their experience, backed by the program’s resources. With a website, app and social media component, it encourages people to work towards individual and group goals, encourage each other, earn rewards – and ultimately enjoy the joy and benefits of physical activity outside.
We came in a credible 27th in our category of some 230 businesses with 14 riders from our small company participating, 11 of which were ‘new riders’ or hadn’t been on a bike for many years.
Like us, many companies saw it as a great opportunity to promote a happy and healthy team – while supporting ‘greener’ transport and reduced local congestion on the roads.
And it was a perfect match for our mission: to nurture healthy minds and bodies of all ages through inspired playground equipment and recreational solutions.
